		Landscapes need to fit the house architecture, the local climate, and the homeowner's needs. Our office works closely with homeowners to develop residential landscapes that fit the mediterranean climate in which we live. Here are some recent projects:
Front Yard, Los Altos Hills, California		The owners had terraced a wide slope between their house and the road above, and needed a design for the expanse.
Native Landscape, Woodside, California		Illustrated landscape plan for large Woodside residence. We strove to highlight existing native oaks through a landscape of California native trees, shrubs, and ground covers.
Back Yard, San Jose, California		The yard is only forty feet wide and twenty feet deep, so we designed a landscape that uses optical illusion to suggest a larger yard.
Front Yard, Sunnyvale, California		The owners planned to replace their driveway, and decided that was a good time to update the landscape as well. We based our design on angles found in the ranch house and used them for the driveway as well as the planting beds.
Back Yard, Sunnyvale, California		After removing a diseased hedge and replacing the back fence, the owners needed new landscaping to replace the hedge. Plants were chosen based on size, neatness, color, and in some cases, fragrance.
Back Yard, Santa Clara, California		We redesigned this back yard for a dedicated gardener who is interested in planting vegetables and other edible plants, composting, and entertaining small groups.
Front Yard, Santa Clara, California		We developed an unusual, inwardly-focused front yard using low-allergy plants. Design features include an herbal lawn, seating boulder, and bamboo screening in the side yard.
